Tony Carter is the event coordinator at the “Finding My Shoes” book signing party November 15th, at Live on Central @ClubPalazzo (710 N Central Ave) 6-8pm.
Tony Carter is a native of Brooklyn NY who at one time was a homeless, drug addict/ alcoholic and convicted felon. Upon release from prison, Tony admitted himself into a 12 steps recovery program, Back to Life, for 18 months. Today Tony has nearly 15years of continuing sobriety, and is using his experience and strengths to make a difference within the community by encouraging homeless men and women to enhance their lives by empowering, them with inspiration and encouragement. Tony received his Bachelors of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix with a Project Management Certification. He obtained his Master’s of Science in Organizational Leadership with an Emphasis in Disaster Preparedness from Grand Canyon University and is continuing today with a second Masters of Science in the Study of Human Behavior at Capella University.
Tony opened Making Things Better Sober Living facilities which provided sober living homes for women and was also an alumni and co-director at Back to Life Sober living for men. Tony has walked the runway at FAB with Blazing Curves and has coordinated several community service events with Finding My Shoes Foundation. Tony is also married to Founder and Director of Finding My Shoes Foundation, Dr. Brenda Combs. Tony has defeated the odds and remains focused on giving back to the community to be the vehicle of transformation for people who battle self destruction.
